Read entry below in order to understand it.

(Special thanks to F. for the concept and design idea. I love it!)

This Saturday...

Is a big day for me: it marks the TWO year anniversary since the doctors told me I had a year left to live! How about them apples!

It feels good, it really does. I really didn't think I'd make it this far, and I don't know anyone besides God who knows how long I truly have left.

What did I learn this past year? Hmm...I learned a lot about me, my relationship with God, and most of all, how to live a life more boldly and courageously. such as saying the words "I love you" more often to my family and to others I cared about. I learned to worry a lot less about people's opinion of me, I learned to let go of even more things I cannot control, and recently, I came to a realization that my greatest fear in life, the fear of gaining bad weight, had complete control over my life. As of today, I am now aware of that and need to decide whether to allow it to continue controlling me and my compulsive working out behavior, or do I take control of it and be more happy.

And without getting all sentimentally gooey and ridiculously sappy, I thank the three anchors in my life who have kept me afloat and steady through the choppy waters and stormy weather: Paul, my sister Ellen, and my best friend, Dave.

"I went sky divin',
I went rocky mountain climbin',
I went 2.7 seconds on a bull name Fu Manchu.
And I loved deeper, And I spoke sweeter,
And I gave forgiveness I've been denying,
And he said 'someday I hope you get the chance,
To live like you were dyin'."

Men's Fall Trend- Hgh Heels!

Continuing from fall 2007, high heels for men have surfaced again this fall.

If you didn't hear about or see it last year, prepare to see it on the sidewalk next month: men are now joining women in "height assistance" thanks to their pricey soles. And to prove it's hot again, Prada and Dolce & Gabbana have brought two styles of each, both in brown and black.

U.K. first spotted the trend- Selfridges noticed some of their workday footwear collections rose from a standard 1.5cm heel to a loftier 5cm version. Dior released a 6.5cm heels last season but it was too tall for men consumers and didn't sell well.

(Tom, these were what you needed when you were married to Nicole.)

Mamma Mia!

I won't care if you called me a momma's boy, but right now I am so grateful for her and thankful for her interfering in my life (for once).

I have had a really rough chemo cycle this round, barely able to accomplish much of anything. I wheeze when I go up stairs, I fall asleep at a moment's notice, and I feel like I'm constantly in a purple haze of fatigue.

My mom who's heard all this complaining made an executive decision today and called my doctor to ask him for a short break from me receiving any infusions or taking of other drugs. Although any type of break would throw the entire chemo regimen schedule off, he conceded, giving me the next two weeks off (which is a lot).

I sure need it. Recover, recover, recover.

One Long "Knight"

It's breaking records, critics are raving, and I'm left thinking "Holy two hours and thirty minutes, Batman!" It was buried in plot, way too long, and...did I mention helplessly buried in plot?

Christian Bale- I find it funny the way he disguises his voice when he's Batman.

Heath Ledger- He was wonderfully and eerily scary playing the Joker. He should be nominated for an Oscar.

Aaron Eckhart- I always had a crush on him, but his nose seems to be growing bigger.

Maggie Gyllenhaal- perfect replacement for Katie Holmes.
As summer draws to a close, my favorite pick this season is still "Wanted".

To The Tune Of "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" Pt. 2

Chemo, chemo makes me sick,
makes my head feel three feet thick.
I'm so tired I'm gonna' cry,
stay at home and order Thai.
Chemo, chemo you're so bad,
I'm so tired of being sad.

NOW I've Seen It All!

In case you didn't follow this thread from a recent comment, the ultimate in pet accessories is right here, and it's no joke: wigs for your feline friend, whether she's a rescue tabby or for that matter, a devon rex.

(Thanks A. for letting us know about this. I wonder- is it because your gorgeous kitty has one? I thought her 'do was real!)

For Readers Who Have Had A Dog

Pardon me for the drama, but I must know this!

Do you buy a leash to match your personality, or that of the dog?

In the canine world, some people really get into accessorizing, from making their dog wear ribbons in their ears, to hats, coats, and even dog shoes. It's scary. Now I'm not that crazy, but still, the only accessories people see all the time on Taylor are the collar and the leash so I want to make sure I'm doin' it right.

I get sick of people asking me if Taylor's a boy or a girl. So I thought getting a pink collar would solve that problem, but people still ask. So should I buy a pink leash as well? I'd look pretty pretty walking a dog attached to me by a pink umbilical cord.

I know I've got part of the equation figured out: stay with darker colors since the collar and leash will get dirty. And since I can't afford Vuitton's or Burberry's collar and leash, please tell me what to do!

Sincerely,
Chinese Lap Dog

Oink! Oink! Squeeeeaaal!

What a pig! Six nights in a row, I've had a half pint of B&J's Chocolate Fudge Brownie for dessert.

I've tried to cut back, but I keep going back to the freezer for more. I completely cap off at half pint.

C'mon- lean over, whisper in my ear, and tell Pig Boy what's your flava' fave.

A Big "Han" For "C*ck"

"Hancock" is more than just the story of a bitter washed-up superhero: there's certainly more to it than the trailer lets you on to believe. It was good and worth seeing thanks to some clever lines delivered well by Will Smith as well as a few surprises in the plot. Jason Bateman's role as an optimistic public relations consultant is reminiscent of his days on "Arrested Development". (Do you remember him on "Silver Spoons"?)

Golden Vanilla Oreos

Eh. It's aw'ight, ain't all that.

(The cookie and the creme taste almost the same, making a boring sugary mess.)
